Introduction

The project organized active trachoma screening and medication distribution for residents in the two project provinces of Hà Tĩnh and Hòa Bình. The activity aimed to detect, manage and treat cases promptly, helping reduce community transmission risk and supporting the local trachoma control program.

The project combined planning with field screening and treatment, ensuring medication reached the correct target groups per the technical plan. Implementation results were consolidated to support monitoring, evaluation and planning of subsequent activities.

CEHS's Role

CEHS organized project implementation under the technical leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trịnh Hữu Vách and Dr. Khổng Thị Hơn. The consulting team was responsible for developing the screening and treatment plan, coordinating local implementation, organizing medication distribution for active trachoma patients, consolidating data, and finalizing the results report.
