Introduction
As Vietnam intensified control and progressed toward elimination of trachoma, core activities focused on disease-prevention communication, detection and treatment of active trachoma, and trichiasis surgery for patients at risk of vision loss or blindness. This work package monitored implementation of 2007 trachoma control activities across 10 project provinces, tracking progress and actual implementation status and consolidating information for program management.
CEHS's Role
CEHS directly monitored project activities in its assigned areas. Under the contract, CEHS conducted field tracking, collected reported data from localities, consolidated information, and developed the monitoring results report for the client. CEHS also tracked implementation of communication activities, active trachoma screening and treatment, and trichiasis surgery in project provinces.
