Detailed Description of the Project: A survey on maternal mortality and neonatal mortality in seven northern mountainous provinces will be conducted in the extension period of the Northern Upland Health Support Project. The findings from this study will provide platform and evidence for the Ministry of Health to formulate policies in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality. Besides, the findings and recommendations from this study will help local leaders and the health sector to build specific plans to continue to improve the health situation through capacity building for the health care system. This will contribute to achieving and sustaining the Millennium Development Goals in the future.
Summary of specific work performed by the contractor under the contract:
  • Design study proposal and tools
  • Liaise with the study sites to develop detailed workplan for each province
  • Data collection in the field
  • Process data and write report.
