Description of the Project:  The Second Health Care in the Central Highland Project (HICH2), chaired by the Ministry of Health, loans of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) implemented in the five Central Highlands provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong, for five years (2014 - 2019), to support the implementation of national health targets in the provinces of the Central Highlands through increasing primary health care at the commune level; improve quality and access to hospital services; and strengthening management capacity at health care facilities.
Summary of specific work performed by the contractor under the contract:
  • Development of a specific action plan of the firm for implementing the consulting package
  • Design and implementation of baseline and endline KAP surveys
  • Develop a IEC strategy on community health care for the poor and ethnic minorities in project provinces
  • Design IEC messages and materials on mother and child health care for the poor and ethnic minorities in project provinces
  • Development of master copies of IEC materials in Vietnamese on community health care suitable with characteristics of central highlands provinces for the poor and ethnic minorities
  • Translation of master copies of IEC materials from Viet Nam language into 6  key ethnic group languages and submit CPMU for approval
  • Hands-on supervision for IEC staff in the project sites
  • Organize workshops on behavior change communication, skills of utilization of IEC materials, new issues in the amended law on health insurance and benefits of health insurance holders at district health centers of 11 poor districts.
