Detailed Description of the Project: To support the Government of Viet Nam in implementation of its HIV/AIDS prevention strategies, the World Bank funded for Viet Nam an HIV/AIDS Prevention Project with the direction of the Ministry of Health for the Phase 1 from 2005-2010 in the 20 provinces/cities. The overall goal of the project is to reduce the transmission of HIV/AIDS and to ensure that HIV prevalence remains below 0.3% among the general population by 2010; and to reduce the adverse impacts of HIV/AIDS on socio-economic development-this is a key objective of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy of Viet Nam.
Summary of specific work performed by the contractor under the contract:
- Complete the assessment proposal, tools and assessment guidlines
- Liaise with the assessment sites to develop detailed workplan for each province
- Review secondary data related to the project
- Data collection in the field
- Processing data and writing report.
