Detailed Narrative Description of the Project:  The Hospital  Waste   Management    Support   Project   (HCWM) is implemented by Ministry of Health and financed by the World Bank to reduce the environmental pollution caused by health care waste generated by hospitals in Vietnam, contribute to improving people's health. The objectives of the project include: 1) Improve the system of policies and laws on HCWM management and institutional capacity building to manage health workers at all levels in Vietnam; 2) Support to infrastructure upgrades and equipment for the system of solid and liquid waste treatment for 200-250 hospitals in Vietnam; 3) Improve management, operation, monitoring and verification of health care solid and water waste treatment systems.
Summary of specific work performed by the contractor under the contract:
  • Developing detailed proposal, evaluation toolkit and work plan;
  • Collecting data in the field;
  • Processing data and writing reports including final project evaluation report and project completion report.
