Detailed Description of the Project:  The Results-based Scaling-up Rural Sanitation and Water Supply Program is to improve hygiene practices, to increase sustainable access to rural water and sanitation in the Northern Uplands, the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast. The objectives of the Program are as follows: Number of communes reaching commune-wide sanitation: 680 communes; Number of hygienic latrines in 21 provinces are newly built or renovated: 400,000 (of which 100,000 hygienic latrines are newly built from the program’s support and 300,000 latrines are newly built/renovated through communication activities); Number of public sanitation works newly built or renovated: 2,650 (1,650 works and 1,000 commune health stations).

  • Provide support to capacity building for program communication staff, collaborators
  • Provide support to capacity building on BCC organized by provinces
  • Support implementation of plan of sanitation component and communication activities at central level
  • Provide support 21 provinces to implement BCC plan at localities 
  • Provide technical support to localities in accounting
  • Provide support 21 provinces to develop 2019 plans on capacity building for program staff, collaborators
  • Provide support 21 provinces to develop 2019 plans of BCC
  • Provide regular and unscheduled monitoring activities of the program activities at localities
