Project Description: To provide opportunities to access information, check and support treatment of gynecological diseases and cervical lesions for many women in Can Tho city; The project "Raising awareness of cervical cancer among women and female students, combined with support for screening and treatment of cases in Can Tho phase 3" has been considered by the ACCF for its budget support in the next 4 years, from January 2017 to October 2020 in 30 communes/wards of Binh Thuy district (6 communes), Cai Rang district (7 communes), O Mon district (6 communes) and Vinh Thanh district (11 communes).
Summary of specific work performed by the contractor under the contract:
- Raising awareness and practice of women and 11-13 year old female students about cervical cancer.
- Conduct cervical cancer screening on 9,000 women aged 21 to 70 and diagnoses abnormal cases.
- Provide support treatment for all diagnosed cases are gynecological, precancerous a cervix and cervical cancer among women screened.
- Gather detailed data on women undergoing cervical cancer screening, meeting requirements for both CEHS for the ACCF.
