  • Content of implementation: Promoting gender equality and preventing gender violence in the care of people with disabilities in Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc through the implementation of awareness raising activities in caregivers and health care providers to prevent violence against people with disabilities, increasing men's participation in activities to help people with disabilities. The project's activities contribute to changing traditional gender stereotypes in the role of timely care, prevention and intervention against acts of violence against people with disabilities.
Approach method
The CEHS expert group develops a gender mainstreaming model and training materials on gender mainstreaming in service delivery and care activities for people with disabilities. CEHS coordinates with local units to establish a group of supervisors who are health workers at the provincial, district and commune levels. Conduct training for service providers and monitoring groups.
Disability service providers and carers carry out gender mainstreaming activities to support and care for people with disabilities. CEHS expert and monitoring team carry out communication and supportive monitoring activities on gender mainstreaming and violence prevention in health facilities and households with disabilities. During the monitoring process, the toolkit was completed by CEHS experts.

CEHS Data Management Specialist assists the monitoring team members to report their performance and monitoring to the project management on a monthly basis according to application software on Google. The Project Management Unit reports its operation results monthly and quarterly to VNAH.

Expected outputs
  • Model of integrating gender into service delivery and care activities for people with disabilities.
  • The monitoring group was built with a total of 140 people including 4 provincial CCDVs (2 people/province), 15 district service providers (1 person/district) and 121 commune service providers ( 1 person/commune).
  • Training kits and monitoring tools
  • 220 service providers have received capacity building training
  • Report on the results of the monitoring support monthly by the monitoring team
  • 6 Report on the results of activities for periodic monitoring and support of project experts
  • Google application software works effectively
  • Report on monthly and quarterly activities to sponsors on time.
