On (April 27-28), in Da Lat City, Center for Environmental and Health Studies in collaboration with Lam Dong Disease Control Center organized a workshop on orientation  and develop a plan to implement the Global Fund subproject and coordinate with the general hospital to screen for high-risk groups for TB in Lam Dong for medical staff in the TB network in the province.

The TB sub-project is implemented by the Center for Environmental and Health Studies in 5 provinces: Lam Dong, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dac Nong and Lang Son province, funded by the Global Fund period 2021 – 2023, focus on active detection of TB patients in high epidemic areas; screening, diagnosis, management and treatment of latent tuberculosis and tuberculosis for 5 provinces; conducting TB screening at provincial tuberculosis hospitals, provincial general hospitals, private hospitals and private clinics; monitoring TB prevention activities at the provincial, district and commune levels.

The workshop set the direction for the period 2021 - 2023 to focus resources on strengthening the TB system, especially the tuberculosis hospitals, provincial general hospitals, district hospitals and private hospitals and clinics to join hands for TB prevention. The Center will coordinate and assist the provinces to soon have appropriate models to strengthen screening, screening and detection of TB, drug-resistant and pre-latent TB, to maximize the national TB drug-resistant treatment enrollment rate in order to achieve the targets of the national anti-TB program.

Active TB disease detection targets for 5 provinces by 2X technology for people suspected of having TB, implemented in some districts (20 districts / 5 provinces); X-ray scan for 1,000 people / district; GeneXpert testing for 200 people / district. Implement public-private health coordination, TB treatment management training and models to coordinate, install and use the Acis365 software to screen to support referral to TB patients.
