On June 15, 2021, the Center for Environmental and Health Studies in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control of Kon Tum province held an online seminar on orientation and development of a plan to promote access to diagnosis and management. With the consent of the National Tuberculosis Program (Central Lung Hospital), the Center for Environmental and Health Studies implements the subproject of the Global Fund for Tuberculosis Control in the 2021-2023 period in 5 provinces: Lam Dong , Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong and Bac Giang provinces with funding from the Global Fund. Introduction of subproject activities in this workshop mainly focused on proactive detection of TB patients in high endemic areas; screening, management and treatment of latent TB in 5 project provinces..
At the Kon Tum CDC bridgeheads, 10 district health centers attended by 30 local delegates, including: representatives of the Department of Health, CDC leaders, leaders of infectious diseases, CDC TB team officials and leaders, staff of the TB team in health centers of 10 districts of Kon Tum province.

The workshop set out orientations for the period of 2021 - 2023, focusing resources on strengthening the anti-TB system, especially the provincial disease control center and district health center to join hands for TB prevention. The Center for Environmental and Health Studies will coordinate and support provinces in funding, training and human resource training to strengthen the capacity of screening and detecting TB patients, latent TB. , maximize the rate of TB treatment enrollment locally as well as nationally in order to achieve the target of the national anti-tuberculosis program.
In order to effectively deploy the screening and detection of TB patients in the project districts, the subproject will apply 2X techniques, namely X-ray and Xpert, and use ACIS software to screen, manage and refer TB patients.

The workshop closed with the consensus and commitment to implement the subproject at the local level at the highest level of the leaders of the Department of Health, the provincial disease control center and the district health centers in Kon Tum province.
