Some pictures of proactive tuberculosis screening activities in the community in 2022 of the Global Fund subproject - CEHS

In 2022, the sub-project of the Global Fund for Tuberculosis Control in the 2021-2023 period - Center for Environmental and Health Studies (CEHS) will operate in 6 provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Bac Giang and Hoa Binh and Phu Tho, all provinces have implemented screening activities to detect active and latent TB and coordinated public-private health care in TB screening.

This year, localities have started activities early, especially the screening and active detection of TB will be carried out from the beginning of April 2022 in 5 provinces, especially Phu Tho province starting later from June 2022. To ensure that the target number of participants and TB patients detected through screening is achieved, the CEHS subproject PMU has sent program staffs to directly participate in screening visits in all 5 provinces to technical support for the provinces.
In this active TB detection campaign, the provincial level planned in advance and coordinated with the district and commune health center staff in inviting and welcoming people for screening. The delegation included all components of provinces, districts and communes participating.
Regarding the implementation process: Centers for Disease Control and Lung Hospitals of provinces under the CEHS sub-project have actively participated and followed the process (SOP) of the QTC-CEHS sub-project as instructed: Have invitation letter, a list of household contacts, subjects with suspected TB (pre-interviewed, pre-listed) invited for screening, conduct pre-screening communication, have welcome tables follow-up interview to identify screened subjects, digital X-ray vehicle with quality assurance, radiation safety, with sputum collection table for people who need Xpert test to detect TB, there is an officer who enters data into the ACIS software to accompany the delegation to perform on-site input.
With the efforts and hard work of the leaders and staff of the Global Fund-CEHS subproject, along with the close coordination and science of the locality, in 2022 CEHS strives to achieve and exceed the professional indicators as promised.
