Screening for active detection of tuberculosis in Kon Tum province in 2021

Implementing the plan of the Global Fund for Tuberculosis Prevention Sub-project for the period 2021-2023 – Center for Health and Environmental Research, from October 1, 2021, the Center for Disease Control of Kon Tum province in collaboration with the District Health Centers of Dak To, Dak Ha, Kon Ray, Kon Tum, Ngoc Hoi, Dak Glei and Sa Thay districts will carry out a screening campaign to proactively detect TB for people at high risk in the community in 2021. Expected to end on December 10, 2021.

The delegation of health workers to check and screen for TB in the community includes 06 doctors and TB testing technicians from the provincial Center for Disease Control, 04 doctors from each district health center and 04 medical doctors participated in the screening service of each commune health station. In addition, there are village health collaborators participating in communication and mobilizing subjects to visit villages, hamlets and residential clusters. Subjects for TB screening include people who cough and sputum for more than 2 weeks, people who are in close contact with TB transmission sources, old TB patients, and other people at high risk for TB.

Theo số liệu thống kế ban đầu đến ngày 2/12/2021, đã có 6.500 người dân được sàng lọc chụp Xquang phổi,  khoảng 1.320 người dân có kết quả Xquang bất thường được xét nghiệm GeneXpert chẩn đoán bệnh lao. Dự kiến đoàn sẽ hoàn thành kế hoạch sàng lọc được 7.000 người dân đến ngày 10/12/2021.
With the determination and love of the profession of the medical staff for TB prevention and control in Kon Tum province, especially the leaders and specialized TB staff of the Center for Disease Control of Kom Tum province, despite many difficulties, in 2021, Kom Tum province has exceeded the plan assigned by the Global Fund for Tuberculosis Subproject.
